The thing I look forward to the most every year is finding my One Little Word for the year to come. This year was a little different. It was the last day of 2020 and I still did not have my One Little Word 2021. I had a list of words, but this time God hadn’t highlighted any words. I decided to come to peace that maybe I wouldn’t have a word for 2021. I opened my bible and there it was, my word. Endurance.

I immediately went on dictionary.com and looked up the definition. I knew right away that this word was a stretching word. Stretching is not comfortable at all, it is often unpleasant but in the end it is oh so sweet to look back and see all that was accomplished. I knew right away God has some plans coming up that as long as I cling to Him, I will be able to overcome. It almost feels like a new chapter is starting in my life and I am ready for it. I want to look back at the end of the year and be able to see and know that I overcame situations without giving way.

The verse I was reading the last day of 2020 was James 1:2-4 , because of this verse I knew Endurance was my word. This year I want it to be the year I push through obstacles. I want to be filled with Joy even if I find myself in growing uncomfortable situations. I don’t want to give up on what God has in store for me. I want to follow His plan and will for my life. Whatever may come my way I will hold on to Him. I will be sharing my journey on here, so stay tuned!
